JOB TITLE: Sales Associate

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Indoor and Outdoor	


A.	PURPOSE 

The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience demonstrated by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principals and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Partners with appropriate team members to ensure that all inventories are properly accounted for and maintained to company standard and adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.  


B.	JOB DUTIES

Welcome all customers in a friendly, helpful, and professional way as they enter the store. 

Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; is friendly and professional at all times. 

Assist with all special orders and items requiring a delivery or assembly. 

Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone.  

Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store. 

Immediately corrects or reports any unsafe conditions or practices to General Manager. 

Understands merchandise and availability to assist customers including having knowledge of all sales or promotions occurring in the store. 

Professionally communicate with in person and remote customers as well as appropriate associates regarding stock availability, product receipts, customer orders and other calls as needed.

Demonstrates proficient functionality and usage of applicable Eagle applications and other store technology platforms.

Ensure an adequate understanding of all products in the store and or demonstrate an ability to learn. 

Execute Opening and Closing duties to company standards. 

Performs pre-paid special orders for all customers as needed.

Performs S.A.L.E.S process with each customer. 

Understands the Loss Prevention Awareness program for merchandise protection standards. 

May handle Cashier duties as needed. 

Collaborates with other employees to work toward individual, team and company goals.  

Achieve sales goals per the budget of their assigned store. 

Other duties assigned by the General or Assistant Store Manager as needed. 

 

Merchandise Job Duties and Responsibilities 

 
Ensure all online orders are processed and provided to customers in a timely manner. 

Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards. 

Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.  

Performs inventory process via cycle counts, shooting outs, lows, and overstocks. 

Receives, sorts, and organizes the store front by stocking shelves, arranging merchandise in an appealing manner and building product displays to enhance the customer experience. 

Maintains all promotional displays and signage in accordance with company standards. 

Ensures all inventories are properly accounted for and maintained to company standards. 

May need to reallocate inventory to other areas of the store or other stores, as needed. 

Updated product pricing as needed and ensures products are priced and signed to standard. 

 
C.	QUALIFICATIONS 

High School degree or equivalent 

Minimum 1-year retail sales experience preferred  

Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business 

Ability to solve problems, work independently or with a team, and check accuracy of work before reporting its completion 

Effective communication skills, high attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to multi-task 

Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus 

Knowledgeable of general retail policies and procedures 

Knowledge of products trends along with a willingness to learn 

Prior Customer service with motivation to provide an exceptional experience with customers 

Ability to assess customer concerns and provide solutions for customer satisfaction

Takes initiative in problem solving 


E.	PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Climb stairs and ladders using proper safety measures  

Lifting up to 80 lbs.  

Standing for lengthy periods of time (up to 10 hours or more)  

Bending, stooping, twisting, reaching 

Use of hands by utilizing POS or other store technology  

 
F. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Indoor facility where with moderate noise and temperature levels.  

Ability to work fluctuating hours during peak seasons or as business necessitates 

Ability to work other positions as needed to fill business needs and cover shifts for other employee 

Follow all COVID-19 protocols as directed by management and local ordinances including wearing of masks and gloves at all time
